Overview and Responsibilities:

We are seeking a Senior Research Analyst to join CBS's National TV Research team! In this role, you'll be a key member of the CBS TV Network research group, helping to craft a compelling story about how audiences engage with CBS content across platforms and dayparts. You'll partner closely with research leaders to deliver timely, pertinent, and insightful analysis that informs decision-making across CBS and Paramount Global.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Track and analyze audience viewership across linear, digital, and social platforms, delivering timely daily and weekly performance insights that highlight key trends
  • Summarize data into clear, compelling visual stories through dashboards and presentations that drive understanding and action among key partners
  • Collaborate with researchers and analysts across CBS, integrating insights from multiple data sources and methodologies to deliver a comprehensive view of content performance
  • Validate accuracy of data with an ability to identify and address data quality issues
  • Contribute to the development, refinement, and automation of reporting tools, helping build scalable dashboards and workflows that improve efficiency and insight
  • Assist with ad-hoc research requests and projects across all partners including marketing, sales, programming, and scheduling
  • Deliver ongoing multiplatform performance insights that deepen CBS and Paramount Global's understanding of content performance, audience preferences, and competitive positioning across all CBS distribution points
Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree a plus
  • 4+ years experience in analytics, ideally within television or digital media
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Experience with audience and content measurement tools, such as Nielsen systems (NPower, NNTV, NLTV), VideoAmp, iSpot, and comScore TV data
Additional Qualifications:

  • Familiarity of data visualization platforms like Tableau; experience in big-data environments (such as Snowflake) is a plus
  • Excellent communication and presentation design skills, with the ability to translate data-driven trends into clear, well-rounded, and forward-looking insights
  • Strong organizational abilities, able to manage various projects independently while collaborating effectively across teams and maintaining a high level of attention to detail
  • Displays a genuine passion and knowledge of the evolving media landscape; is a consumer of shows across linear, streaming, or social platforms

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $75,000.00 - 85,000.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
