Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Developer Senior Principal/Lead Pega Architect to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of Pega-based solutions within the healthcare domain. You will work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs, translate complex requirements into robust technical designs, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and efficient applications. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Pega Platform, and a proven track record of successful enterprise-level Pega implementations.

Key Responsibilities:

Solution Architecture: Lead the architectural design of Pega applications, ensuring solutions are aligned with business objectives, Pega best practices, and enterprise standards.

Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document complex business requirements, translating them into technical specifications and user stories.

Framework Expertise: Leverage your knowledge of healthcare-specific Pega frameworks, such as Pega Customer Process Manager for Healthcare (CPMHC), to design and configure core functionalities.

Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to a team of Pega developers, ensuring adherence to coding standards, guardrails, and architectural patterns.

Integration Design: Design and implement complex integrations between Pega applications and other internal and external systems using various technologies (e.g., SOAP, REST, MQ, etc.).

Performance and Scalability: Perform performance tuning, optimization, and system maintenance to ensure the Pega platform operates efficiently and can scale to meet future demands.

Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including solution designs, data models, and integration specifications.

Quality Assurance: Participate in code reviews, technical walkthroughs, and testing activities to ensure the quality and integrity of the Pega solution.

Required Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience:

Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT with at least 8+ years of experience in Pega application development and architecture.

Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing Pega solutions, preferably within the healthcare industry.

Technical Skills:

Deep expertise in Pega 8.x or higher, including knowledge of App Studio, Dev Studio, Case Management, and Pega's Low-Code/No-Code capabilities.

Strong understanding of Pega's Class structure, rulesets, and inheritance.

Proficiency in designing and implementing integrations with external systems using various Pega connectors and services.

Experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server) and writing complex SQL queries.

Solid understanding of web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML).

Soft Skills:

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Proven leadership abilities, with experience mentoring and leading development teams.

Ability to work effectively in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Certifications:

Certified Pega System Architect is required.

Certified Pega Senior System Architect is highly preferred.

The likely salary range for this position is $136,000 - $184,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
