The Opportunity

We are seeking a business-savvy Project Coordinator to join our APAC Language Services Operations team. This role serves as the critical bridge between our clients and our extensive network of freelance interpreters, ensuring flawless delivery of interpretation services across the region.

Your mission will be to coordinate, manage, and oversee interpreter staffing for clients' multilingual events, leveraging your project management skills to deliver exceptional service. You will thrive in fast-paced environments and have a knack for seamless communication and logistics.

The successful candidate will be based in Asia, with a native-level English proficiency. An additional language such as Japanese or Chinese is a bonus. 

Primary Responsibilities

Operations Coordination

  • Match client interpretation requests with qualified freelance interpreters based on subject matter expertise, credentials, and availability
  • Coordinate end-to-end assignment logistics including overseeing credit availability for client requests, asking for and sharing preparation material with the interpreters, verifying the technical setup, and processing payments.
  • Monitor live interpretation assignments in real time and provide immediate support as needed

Interpreter Sourcing & Management

  • Schedule and host/operate comprehensive onboarding webinars for our network of professional interpreters
  • Facilitate ongoing training programs to enhance interpreter performance in multilingual environments
  • Foster a collaborative community among Certified and Pro interpreters, promoting knowledge-sharing and professional development

Database & Quality Management

  • Build and maintain a comprehensive database of freelance interpreters with complete profiles, specializations, and performance metrics
  • Track accurate meeting data and assignment outcomes to support strategic resource planning
  • Document incidents, collect feedback, and implement service quality improvements

Client Support

  • Serve as primary point of contact regarding interpretation services
  • Troubleshoot technical and logistical issues during live events
  • Ensure adherence to confidentiality protocols and professional standards

Minimum Requirements

Essential:

  • Bachelor's degree in Administration, Business, Communications, International Relations, or related field
  • Professional fluency in English 
  • 2+ years of experience in operations coordination, project management, or client services
  • Exceptional organizational skills with ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, project management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred:

  • Good understanding of multilingual conference environments and simultaneous interpretation practice
  • Familiarity with business cultures and practices in the APAC region
  • Exposure to interpretation technology and workflows
