Position: Substitute Teacher

Reports To: Elementary/High School Principal

Position Summary:

Lenawee Christian School is seeking Christ-centered, reliable, and flexible Substitute Teachers to provide instructional support in the absence of full-time classroom teachers. Ideal candidates will uphold our school's mission of pursuing excellence for the glory of God, demonstrate love for students, and model biblical principles both in word and deed.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Implement lesson plans provided by the regular classroom teacher in a manner consistent with LCS’s academic and spiritual goals.

·         Maintain a well-managed, safe, and Christ-honoring classroom environment.

·         Demonstrate respect, care, and high expectations for all students.

·         Foster a positive classroom atmosphere that supports academic and spiritual growth.

·         Take attendance and follow classroom routines as outlined.

·         Communicate any student concerns, classroom issues, or deviations from the lesson plan with school administration and/or the regular teacher.

·         Uphold and model the values, standards, and expectations of Lenawee Christian School at all times.

·         Ability to work with any grade level.

Qualifications:

·         Christian Faith:

·         Profess and demonstrate a personal commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

·         Adherence to Christian principles and values in both personal and professional life.

·         Educational Background/Experience:

·         High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

·         Ability to effectively manage a classroom and engage students in learning.

·         Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

·         Willingness to serve across multiple grade levels and subject areas as needed.
