About the role:

As a Senior Chemical Engineer, you will troubleshoot relative to plant systems, modification programs, temporary and permanent material usage, and chemistry program management. You will work with both plant personnel and Westinghouse counterparts to support asset management for current operating plants and new plant designs (AP1000, AP300). You will gain experience on plant operations as it relates to primary/fuel and reactor chemistry and secondary/steam chemistry.

Reporting to the Manager, Component Engineering & Chemistry Operations, you will be located at Cranberry Township, PA. Hybrid work schedule; 2 days per week in office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform operational chemistry assessment to manage primary and secondary side chemistry and maintenance planning.
• Support chemistry program planning and control changes and emergent outage issues.
• Use general chemistry expertise for applications to water chemistry control and material applications.
• Lead small teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Work with other functional disciplines to support chemistry-related issues.
• Support offer development and business growth.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering
• 4+ years of experience
• Knowledge of general chemistry and data interpretation
• Technical writing experience

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon qualifications, is estimated to be $85,200 to $106,500 per year.
