Rugged Science is a designer and manufacturer of ruggedized, embedded computer systems. We specialize in custom prototype development as well as sustained production runs. Our products combine metal enclosures, computers, displays, and electronics. Rugged Science is looking for a strong candidate to be a key player in fabricating custom metal components for our products.

Responsibilities

• Set up of fiber laser for processing flat sheets
• Load/unload of flat sheets and cut parts
• Monitor fiber laser for processing errors
• Process cut metal through deburring equipment
• Set up CNC hydraulic press brake for new jobs
• Process parts through press brake according to prints
• Monitor press brake for processing errors
• Insert PEM fasteners into metal work
• Utilize various measuring and inspection tools
• Perform 1st piece verification off machine prior to releasing production
• Review/read blueprints and specs
• Perform work within expected rates and costs
• Assist in processing prototypes and special orders
• Provide feedback to leadership regarding fabrication limitations and best practices
• Accurately track material usage and labor time in ERP system (Global Shop Solutions)

Salary Range

$25–$35 per hour
