Position Overview

The Family Medicine/ Burn Trauma Registered Nurse (RN) plays a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in the Family Medicine and Burn Trauma units. As a full-time role based in Charleston, SC, you will be responsible for delivering nursing care that is evidence-based and aligned with the highest standards of professional practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Family Medicine and Burn Trauma units.
• Assess patient health status and recognize changes in condition to initiate appropriate interventions.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures in accordance with established protocols.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and assessments.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
• Provide support and guidance to junior nursing staff and students as needed.

Essential Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in South Carolina.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience specifically in Family Medicine or Burn Trauma settings.
• Skills: Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
• Certification: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification preferred.

Desired Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of direct nursing experience in a fast-paced clinical environment, preferably in Family Medicine or Burn Trauma.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
