Eastern Washington University’s School of Psychology invites applications for a full-time, academic year Lecturer position, specialization open, to begin January 02, 2026 . This lecturer position is a full-time, one-year appointment, and eligible for renewal for successive annual appointments. This position requires candidates to be located in or willing to relocate to the greater Spokane-Cheney area and to teach courses on the Cheney, Washington campus.
Responsibilities
The typical teaching load is 45 credits per year, spread over three quarters. The candidate is expected to participate in program specific work groups related to their expertise and should be an active member in the School. Opportunities for summer teaching, although not required, may be available.

The required start date for this position is 01/02/2026. To be considered eligible for appointment into the position, applicants must be available and able to start in the position no later than 01/02/2026 .
Position is based on the Cheney campus, and includes in-classroom teaching as part of its position responsibilities. As a result, this position will not be filled with a candidate who seeks an on-line only, remote teaching position.
This position, during the course of university employment will be involved in the receipt of, or accountability for, university funds or other items of value, as well as the unsupervised access with the developmentally disabled, vulnerable adults or children under the age of 16. The offer of employment is contingent upon successful completion and passing of a background check prior to beginning employment. A valid driver’s license is also required.
