Fairmount Cemetery Company is looking for a Housekeeper. This position is directly responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the office buildings and chapels.
Position Summary :
This position ensures that all areas are cleaned to high standard, restrooms and common spaces are stocked and sanitized, and special areas such as chapels are prepared respectfully for services and events. Duties include daily cleaning, scheduled deep cleaning, minor maintenance, and inventory management of janitorial supplies. The role may also involve preparing facilities for events, setting up seating or equipment, and ensuring the overall appearance of the building reflects organizational standards.
Job Details: A full-time, non-exempt position with an hourly range of $19 - $21, with a 40-hour work week. Typically, Monday-Friday from 7am-3:30pm. Hours may be adjusted to fulfill project demands when communicated with management.
Key Responsibilities: - Preform daily cleaning and sanitizing of offices, restrooms, kitchens, hallways, and chapel spaces.
- Carry out deep cleaning tasks on a scheduled basis.
- Maintain chapel areas with special care.
- Monitor and restock janitorial supplies.
- Dispose of trash inside and around buildings.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment.
- Preform light maintenance tasks such as changing bulbs, tightening fixtures, or reporting repair needs.
- Assist in setup and cleanup for events, ceremonies, and meetings.
- Follow all safety protocols and using cleaning chemicals properly.
- Uphold the dignity, cleanliness, and presentation of spaces used.
Job Requirements: - 2 years previous janitorial, housekeeping, or custodial experience.
- Knowledge of proper cleaning methods, materials, and safety protocols.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Respectful and professional demeanor.
- Able to lift or carry up to 50 pounds.
