**Job Title: Construction Laborer / Cleaning Technician** **Job Description** Join a dynamic team engaged in constructing a large project in Lenoir, NC, with a project duration of over 2 years. We are looking for dedicated individuals who can stand and direct pedestrian traffic on-site and assist with various construction tasks. **Responsibilities** + Stand and direct pedestrian traffic, holding a stop/slow sign to ensure safe walkway crossings. + Perform physical labor including jobsite clean-up, rough carpentry, and logistics management. + Construct temporary structures, fencing, decks, and platforms. + Participate in construction waste management and site protection systems. + Inventory supplies and manage re-stocking needs. + Ensure compliance with safety codes and regulations by tradespeople, subcontractors, and vendors. + Understand and follow work instructions, safety protocols, and equipment manufacturer guidelines. + Participate in daily Pre-Task Plans and adhere to safety expectations, wearing appropriate Personal Protection Equipment (PPE). + Perform demolition, scaffold construction, and fire watch duties. + Maintain cleanliness and organization of dumpster areas and manage vendor schedules. + Act as a spotter for heavy equipment operators. + Communicate and escalate issues for resolution, ensuring a secure work environment. + Assist other craft workers and maintain positive working relationships with stakeholders. **Essential Skills** + 6+ months of construction experience. + Proficiency with hand and power tools. + Ability to read a tape measurer. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in carpentry and concrete work is beneficial. + Strong teamwork, integrity, and leadership qualities. + Capability to work overtime, including up to 7 days a week. **Why Work Here?** This is a long-term project with one of the top construction companies in the area, offering stability and growth opportunities. **Work Environment** This role involves working on a large-scale outdoor/indoor construction project.
