Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CGI artist or technical animator to create photorealistic human characters in physically accurate hanging poses for use in synthetic training data generation.

Project Overview

We need several USD-format characters posed as if hanging by the neck from a rope or similar object. These characters must reflect realistic post-mortem physics, including limp body posture, skeletal accuracy, and correct interaction with rope constraints (i.e., tension, gravity, head tilt, etc.).

✅ Requirements

  • Photoreal human characters, with high-quality skin, clothing, and textures (PBR/MDL ready)
  • Rigged skeleton compatible with Omniverse (ideally UsdSkel)
  • Physically plausible ragdoll poses, either through physics simulation or realistic manual posing
  • Delivered in USD format, ready for import into NVIDIA Omniverse
  • Characters will be placed in provided 3D scenes (e.g., interior rooms, jail cells)
  • Multiple characters and pose variations required (diversity in body type, orientation, angle)

  • Cascadeur (for physics-aware posing)
  • AccuPose, Maya, Blender, or similar with ragdoll/physics simulation
  • Photoshop/Substance for realistic texture work
  • USD export with accurate joint hierarchy and transforms

Deliverables

  • 3–5 photorealistic characters in physically accurate hanging poses
  • Each character in USD with embedded or linked materials/textures
  • Optional: cloth/hair physics if supported

Notes

This work supports a research-focused synthetic dataset for computer vision. The scenarios are sensitive in nature but purely technical. All work is strictly for internal AI model development.

Timeline

Initial delivery requested within 2–3 weeks, with potential for follow-on work if successful.
